ESMPE European School for Medical Physics Experts

School for Interventional Radiological Practices

18th-20th September 2025, Zagreb, Croatia

EFOMP in collaboration with the Croatian Medical Physics Association (CROMPA) and University of Zagreb School of Medicine (UZSM) would like to invite you to the next ESMPE on 18th-20th September 2025. The school will be aimed to introduce the basic and also advanced concepts of interventional radiology practices for medical physicist. It will cover the latest updates on quality assurance for interventional X-ray units. Participants will receive an introductory overview of radiation effects in interventional radiology, including patient and skin dose management. Various types of interventional procedures, ranging from interventional cardiology to interventional radiology, will be explored. Additionally, companies will present and discuss the latest technologies used in interventional radiology.

This two-and-half day event is accredited by EBAMP (European Board of Accreditation for Medical Physics) as CPD event for Medical Physicists at EQF Level 8 (Accreditation no. APP-00335) and is intended for practicing clinical Medical Physicists who are involved or interested in diagnostic and interventional radiology. There will be an optional examination at the end for those seeking a higher level of certification beyond attendance.

This event will be in a hybrid format. All lecturers will give their talks on-site in Zagreb, but participants can choose if they want to attend the school on-site or online, it will be live-streamed.
